Based On A Story by Jacqueline Lichtenberg

Two races, decendents of ancient humans, each hunt the other in self-defense. Two teenagers dare to show the world that the only way for both races survive is do what each fears the most.

To kiss her lover could kill them both or save the human race.

THE NEED - completed script available on request, all formats.

Shybel, a teenage Sime, whose human beauty, from her sensuous lips to the tip of her graceful tentacles can heal or easily kill, loves Bigfingers, a Gen, whose life force is a Sime’s food.  Their union can destroy all they’ve ever known, or build a foundation for the future.

Based on a short story by award winning author, Jacqueline Lichtenberg, “The Need,” a screenplay by Anne Phyllis Pinzow, brings the Sime~Gen world of Lichtenberg and Jean Lorrah, to the wide screen.

Tapping into the success of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, this Romeo and Juliet story with occult overtones, draws from the very essence of the modern world’s angst. Kill or be killed, or trust an inhumanly amoral ancient enemy for the sake of a dangerous peace.
